Program Manager - John Chase
Fly Fishing Outfitter/Captain and Guide Legend!
Years Fishing:25+ Years Guiding: 15 John grew up in Washington State fly fishing for steelhead, salmon and trout in rivers and lakes. In 1995, John started fishing in Montana when his father introduced him to the Big Horn River. Shortly thereafter, he discovered the Missouri River and was forever hooked. Since, he has fished nearly every river Montana has to offer but knew after his first trip on the Mighty Mo, that would one day be a place he would call his home water. He now lives there with the catch of a lifetime...his wife Jennifer and their two labs Kota and Tess. John has guided professionally for over 15 years working out of Washington, Montana Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming. He has fished recreationally all over North and South America catching 40+ different species on the fly. His favorite is to catch a 20+inch brown on a size 20 dry fly out of the Missouri River. John was also part of a SAGE Fly Rods ad Campaign and ended up on the website and catalogue showcasing new travel gear. As a seasoned guide, he has the patience for working with all skill levels of anglers and will work hard for you whether you’ve been fishing for years or a first timer holding a fly rod. John enjoys spending the day on the water helping others catch fish, because that smile never gets old! He’s not your typical guide offering anglers the typical "Easy" float down whatever stretch of river he's on. He wants to know what you are looking for so he can tailor your trip and make it a unique experience, whether it is DFO (dry fly only) or streamer only fishing. Buglife Fishing |

Liz "The Caddy" Foley
Fly Fishing Casting Instructor and Guide
Years Fishing: 40+ Years Casting Instruction: 12 Years Guiding: 6 Liz grew up fly fishing with her parents and brothers in Northern New Mexico. They spent family time fly fishing and camping around small streams and lakes high in the mountains every summer. During college in Washington state she would spend time fly fishing some of small streams, rivers and lakes in the Cascade Range. After college she moved to Salt Lake City for a job as an ICU RN and fly fished throughout the Wasatch and Uintas Mountains as well as backpacked on fishing trips into the Wind River Range of Wyoming. She started tying flies for everyone and anyone to improve her knowledge and skills.Since moving to Montana for work she has roamed all over the Beartooth and Bighorn Mountains fly fishing everywhere she can. Opportunities to "moonlight" at local Fly Shops, and in the fly fishing departments of local Sporting Goods stores allowed her to teach classes in fly fishing, fly casting and fly tying. For a number of years she has had the privilege of being a Fly Fishing Instructor and a River Helper with Casting For Recovery, a national organization, here in Montana. She became a "walk and wade" guide 2 years ago. Taking people out to enjoy and fish some of our local water is always fun. I enjoy working on fly fishing techniques and reading water skills that can be applied to other waters. Fitting in local flora and fauna, plus local history is just a bonus to a day on the water. |
